Koch-Chemie Micro Cut Hard Foam Pad D126 is a firm finishing pad with a diameter of 126 mm, designed for hard, scratch-resistant clear coats and for use with Koch-Chemie Micro Cut M3.02 and Micro Cut & Finish P3.01 polishing compounds.
Its dense foam compresses less under pressure than a softer pad, allowing the abrasive compound to deliver greater cutting performance. This makes the pad particularly effective for removing holograms, light polishing haze and fine defects from hard clear coats.
Its low 25 mm profile reduces torsional stress on the polishing machine while improving stability and control during polishing.
Why purple?
Purple identifies the Micro Cut range in Koch-Chemie’s polishing pad colour-coding system. It represents the finest correction stage and indicates that the pad is intended for removing very fine defects and refining the finish to a high gloss rather than for heavy defect correction.
Advantages:
— Koch-Chemie firmness rating: 10/10
— Suitable for rotary and dual-action (DA) polishing machines
— Open-cell foam structure improves airflow and makes the pad easier to clean
— Milled edge makes it easier to polish curves and complex body contours
— Original Koch-Chemie product
Areas of application:
— Holograms, light polishing haze and fine defects on hard paint finishes
— Final refinement before achieving a high-gloss finish
— Use with Koch-Chemie Micro Cut M3.02 or Micro Cut & Finish P3.01
— Correction of hard, scratch-resistant OEM clear coats where a softer pad does not provide sufficient cutting performance
Directions for use:
Apply Micro Cut M3.02 or Micro Cut & Finish P3.01 to the pad and polish the surface using a rotary or dual-action polishing machine.
Adjust speed and pressure according to the polishing machine, panel temperature and hardness of the paint finish.
On particularly soft or sensitive clear coats, test the combination on a small inconspicuous area first and switch to a softer pad if necessary. Remove any remaining polish residue with a clean microfiber towel.
Suitable for professional use and experienced private users
