Koch-Chemie Heavy Cut Foam Pad D126 is a firm polishing pad with a diameter of 126 mm, designed for correcting deep scratches, severe weathering, oxidation and sanding marks on paintwork. It is intended for use with Koch-Chemie Heavy Cut H9.01 and H9.02 polishing compounds.

Its low 25 mm profile reduces torsional stress on the polishing machine while improving stability and control during polishing. The firm open-cell foam provides strong cutting performance for heavy paint correction, while remaining easy to clean and helping maintain consistent pad performance.

Why red?

Red is the designated colour for the Heavy Cut range in Koch-Chemie’s polishing pad colour-coding system. It makes the intended correction stage and matching polishing compound easy to identify at a glance.

Advantages:

— Firm foam with high cutting performance, designed for heavy paint correction rather than light polishing

— Durable foam retains its firmness during extended polishing sessions

— Milled edge makes it easier to polish curves and complex body contours

— Suitable for polishing machines with an appropriately sized backing plate

— When used with Heavy Cut H9.02, Koch-Chemie recommends a rotary polishing machine

— Original Koch-Chemie product

Areas of application:

— Deep scratches, severe weathering and oxidation on paintwork

— Sanding marks remaining after surface preparation or paint repair

— Use with Koch-Chemie Heavy Cut H9.01 or H9.02 polishing compounds

— Heavy paint correction before the finishing stage

Directions for use:

Attach the pad to a suitable backing plate on a compatible polishing machine. The backing plate should be smaller than the working diameter of the pad and should not extend beyond its edge.

Before first use, prime the pad with the appropriate polishing compound. Polish the surface using overlapping cross-hatch passes, adjusting speed and pressure according to the polishing machine, panel temperature and hardness of the paint finish.

When using Heavy Cut H9.02, Koch-Chemie recommends a rotary polishing machine at medium speed and moderate pressure.

Clean the pad thoroughly after use and allow it to dry completely before reuse.
