Koch-Chemie Fine Cut Foam Pad D45 is a compact, medium-firm polishing pad with a diameter of 45 mm, designed for moderate paint correction on small and hard-to-reach areas and for use with Koch-Chemie Fine Cut F6.01 polishing compound.

Its low 25 mm profile reduces torsional stress on the polishing machine while improving stability and control during polishing. The open-cell foam structure provides effective cutting performance and is easy to clean after use, while the milled edge makes it easier to polish curved and contoured surfaces.

Why yellow?

Yellow is the designated colour for the Fine Cut range in Koch-Chemie’s polishing pad colour-coding system. It makes the intended polishing stage and matching compound easy to identify at a glance.

Directions for use:

Attach the pad to a suitable backing plate on a compatible polishing machine. The backing plate should be smaller than the working diameter of the pad and should not extend beyond its edge.

For 45 mm pads, compact polishing machines and appropriately sized backing plates are typically used. The exact backing plate size depends on the polishing machine and mounting system.

Before first use, prime the pad with Fine Cut F6.01 polishing compound. Polish the surface using overlapping cross-hatch passes, adjusting speed and pressure according to the polishing machine, panel temperature and hardness of the paint finish.

Clean the pad thoroughly after use and allow it to dry completely before reuse.
