HLP 2 Headlight Polish 2, 250ml

Koch-Chemie Headlight Polish 2 (HLP2) is a finishing polish with a carnauba-wax-based sealing effect, designed for PMMA headlight lenses after initial abrasive correction. It removes fine scratches and P2000 sanding marks, quickly produces a clear, high-gloss finish and leaves a protective wax film on the surface.

Areas of application:

— Fine scratches remaining after abrasive headlight correction P2000 sanding marks

— Final polishing of headlight lenses to a high-gloss finish before vehicle delivery

— Wax protection of the polished surface after correction

Directions for use:

Clean the headlight thoroughly and shake the bottle before use. Apply a small amount of the compound to a polishing pad, preferably a thermochromic Thermo Pad, which allows heat build-up to be monitored visually during polishing.

Polish the headlight lens with a rotary or dual-action polishing machine at medium speed and moderate pressure, using overlapping cross-hatch passes.

When using the Thermo Pad, monitor its colour during polishing. At approximately 45°C and above, the pad changes from orange to yellow. This indicates that pressure or speed should be reduced, or polishing paused, to prevent excessive heat build-up in the PMMA lens.

Do not use on hot surfaces. Protect the product from freezing and excessive heat during storage. Before first use, test for material compatibility on an inconspicuous area.
